You know that feeling when someone eats the last slice of pizza you were saving? Or when your friend borrows your favorite hoodie and you never see it again. That hurts right?
Sometimes, it hurts so much that you can't forgive not to talk of forgetting. There’s even this common saying; “I’ve forgiven her but I will never forget.”
Yeah, it’s understandable that some offenses are huge and unbearable, you might even want to tear the offender down.
Take For Instance:
A 7 years relationship with several abortions due to irrelevant excuses from the guy and the lady found out he is getting married in a few weeks to his supposed bestie.
How about this,
A woman who secretly burnt her husband’s international passport and jeopardized his chances of traveling abroad because she is scared the husband might leave her and get married to a more literate lady over there.
How about a man who found out after 10 years of marriage that none of his 4 children are his.
If you find yourself in any of these situations, would you ever think of forgiving and forgetting?
Sincerely, it's very difficult, especially when it involves people you hold so dear and probably see everyday.
However, should you let that get in your way? Then why not forgive and forget?
Picture This:
Forgiving and forgetting is like hitting the reset button in your brain.
Imagine your mind as a computer. Holding onto grudges is like keeping all those useless tabs open, slowing everything down.
Forgiving is closing those tabs while forgetting is like clearing your browsing history — no more reminders of that one time your friend backstabbed you.
Your Ticket To a Happier Life…
These are what you get in return for forgiving and forgetting:
It Frees Your Mental Space
Forgive and forget to free up space in your brain for important things, like remembering where you left your keys or what day it is.
Improved Health
Holding grudges can lead to high blood pressure and I believe you don’t want that. Think of forgiveness as a superfood for your heart.
It Relieves Your Stress
Holding onto grudges is like carrying around a backpack full of bricks. Every time you see that person, you’re adding another brick. Forgiving and forgetting is dumping those bricks. Imagine such sweet freedom!
Improved Sleep
When you’re not plotting imaginary revenge scenarios in your head before bed, you actually sleep better.
Improved Relationships With People
Forgiving makes you more likable. Who doesn't want to be friends with someone who doesn't hold a grudge for every little thing.
Life Becomes More Fun
Life’s too short to be serious all the time. Forgive, forget and you’ll be full of life always.
Like this two grown men😂🤣…
