These Bad Foods Kill Slowly
Here is How They Affect Your Health
The fact that you don't have any symptoms of sickness doesn't mean you are healthy.
Relax, (don't arrest me yet👀) this is what I mean…
The rate at which new diseases are emerging remains a mystery. Even science considers most of these diseases “idiopathic." That is, they have no known cause.
Today, the highest percentage of patients in a hospital ward are diabetic and hypertensive patients, not to mention the high number of people at home, unaware of their health status.
This is alarming and it calls for great concern!
Come to think of it, we can't possibly compare life now to life 30-50 years ago.
This is because of our choice of lifestyle, most especially in the aspect of the food we consume.
How about asking yourself, do I eat unhealthy foods and why are these foods tagged as being bad?
Well, that they are called “unhealthy” is due to what they contain.
These foods have very few nutrients your body needs and have a lot of empty calories (sugar, fat and salt) which the body can easily get too much of.
I was once a victim of these unhealthy foods. Truth be told, these foods are tempting and actually taste nice but are they worth giving up our health for? No.
These unhealthy foods are the ones we refer to as—the bad guys.
The Bad Guys…
These foods are readily available, not so expensive, and it charms your taste bud with excess sweetness.
Don't look too far, you know these foods, they are probably even your best of foods.
They include:
Fried foods
Soft drinks and energy drinks
High fat foods like Margarine, peanut butter
Fast foods such as pizza, burger, chips, shawarma
Baked foods like cookies, cakes, doughnuts, bread
Processed meat like Sausage and other processed foods
Sugary foods like Candies, chocolates, white sugar, Sugary cereal.
Refined carbohydrates like white bread, white flour, pasta, white rice.
Canned foods like canned corn, green beans, canned tomato, canned pasta.
What These Bad Guys Do To Your Body?
As I've said, these foods do more harm than good to the body. Though, different foods can affect different people in different ways, here is a general implication of eating junk foods:
It drains your mood and can as well affect your reasoning.
Sugary foods destroy the tooth enamel and cause dental issues.
It increases inflammation and causes digestive problems like bloating, diarrhea.
Foods high in salt causes headache, increases cholesterol level which in turn raises blood pressure and other heart and blood conditions.
Foods high in fat and sugar cause acne breakouts and other skin issues. It also leads to weight gain, then in turn causes diabetes.
Finally, The Concluding Part…
Mind you, being slim isn’t an excuse to eat unhealthy foods, this isn't about your body type and don't even think of using junk foods to gain weight. Oh, Did I get you there? (bombastic side eye😂) . Jokes aside, please don't do this.
Whenever your body is craving for a Pizza, think about how this food choice could badly affect your wellbeing and wave the thought off.
I did this, you can do it too, just deal with the hunger pangs you get.
Try these hacks that worked for me;
Don't skip meals
